Lisa and Ed’s Paradise Banquet Hall wedding photos tell the story of a blended family coming together for an intimate, heartfelt summer celebration. From a private first look in their Airbnb to golden-hour portraits in the garden and a joyful reception filled with surprises and dancing, every moment was captured with a documentary approach that preserved the emotion, connection, and elegance of their wedding day in Vaughan.
These Paradise Banquet Hall wedding photos of Lisa and Ed were originally planned for Terrace on the Green, where I was the preferred wedding photographer at the time. Terrace underwent a transition following a change in ownership, and Lisa felt the new owners would not be the right fit for her intimate wedding. They wanted their wedding celebration to remain intimate and not be affected by multiple weddings on-site, so they decided to change their venue to Paradise Banquet Hall and Conference in Vaughan.
Once they decided to move the venue and change their date, Lisa connected with me and was very excited to hear that I had photographed weddings there many times before.
I have been photographing weddings at Paradise Banquet Hall since 2013, and I was fully familiar with all of the venue’s rooms and grounds.
To ensure Lisa would have amazing photos, we continued planning their wedding as we got closer to the date.

Paradise Banquet Hall Wedding Photos in Summer
In planning their wedding, Michelle, their wedding coordinator, did an amazing job creating a perfect atmosphere for Lisa and Ed and their wedding guests, even though behind the scenes, it was a stressful day.
Lisa and Ed had booked a private Airbnb house close to the venue, which they planned to use as their getting-ready location and for their first-look photos.
At this location, everyone close to Lisa and Ed had arrived: Lisa’s son, daughter, and granddaughter, along with her mom and other close family members, as well as Ed’s son.
Having experience with blended-family marriages, I am very familiar with how to make everyone feel comfortable. When I saw the connection forming between people from two different families, my first goal was to help them relax so we could begin working on their photos.
Lisa was finishing her makeup while Ed was about to arrive with his son.
Making sure I captured these candid moments quickly, I documented the final touches as the makeup and hair artist completed her work.
Once Lisa’s makeup was finished, we moved to a separate room where I took photos with the bridesmaids and Lisa’s mom.
While the girls were getting ready for their photos, I went to another room where Ed was getting ready, with his son and Lisa’s son helping him.
The light in the room was perfect, allowing me to capture some high-key lighting photos while mixing in many candid images full of emotion from the boys’ interactions.

Getting Ready at the Airbnb Before Paradise Banquet Hall Wedding Photos
There was no waiting time while travelling from place to place. In seconds, I was in Lisa’s room, documenting photos with the girls using a four-generation layout: Lisa’s mom, Lisa, her daughter, and her granddaughter. It was amazing to be able to capture these kinds of images.
Lisa wanted her first look captured at the house, but going outdoors meant dealing with high humidity. That day was especially humid, making it uncomfortable to work outside, so we decided to photograph their first look in the room where Ed was getting ready.
With Ed turned away from the door and looking out the window, Lisa arrived quietly from behind, ready to reveal her dress and, for the first time that day, see each other before walking down the aisle.
Being the only photographer in such a limited space, I am very proud of how we executed their first-look photos. I made sure to communicate clearly with Lisa about what I wanted to capture, and they were very cooperative, which helped me deliver some truly gorgeous images.
Once their first-look photos were complete, we exited the room and captured the reveal with everyone else in the house.
Knowing that we did not have much time to work at the venue for photos, I wanted to create some portraits of just the two of them in the house.
One especially beautiful location was the lobby, which offered an amazing look when I used a shallow depth of field and illuminated my couple with the available light coming through the front door.
At this location, we created very intimate wedding images, and we planned to complete the rest of their Paradise Banquet Hall wedding photos later at the venue.

The Wedding Reception, Outdoor Planning Ceremony to an Indoor Location
The wedding took place in June, toward the end of the month, and the weather forecast that day was very unpredictable. The forecast predicted rain, but the strong winds made it seem unlikely.
Due to the wedding ceremony being scheduled for the outdoor chapel by the famous pillars at Paradise Banquet Hall, the staff decided it would be safer to move the ceremony indoors in case of rain.
They quickly set up and adapted the Price Room reception area to accommodate both the guests and the ceremony. In no time, the indoor space was fully ready for the wedding.
I arrived early to set up my lighting, and I felt fully prepared. Once everything was in place, I began capturing candid photos of the guests as they arrived and enjoyed drinks before the couple appeared.
When Lisa and Ed arrived at the venue, Lisa went into the small bridal suite just up the stairs from the Price Room lobby, while Ed stayed with the guests and prepared for the ceremony.
I had mixed emotions about losing the outdoor setting and replacing it with an indoor space with limited natural light. Still, I knew it was better to be safe than sorry for their Paradise Banquet Hall wedding photos.
Once the guests were seated, the ceremony began. Every wedding ceremony is unique, but Lisa and Ed’s was especially emotional, filled with intimate vows, tears, and heartfelt candid moments.
When moments unfold this quickly, time seems to disappear. In what felt like an instant, Lisa and Ed were walking outside, looking at me and silently asking, “Where do we go now?”

Golden Hour Garden Portraits at Paradise Banquet Hall
Anticipating this moment, I had already prepared everything for their upcoming photo session. As I walked backward, I captured candid photos of Lisa and Ed while the bridal party and immediate family repositioned themselves along the bridge leading to the garden.
Luck was on our side—the rain never came, and we were rewarded with beautiful golden-hour light. This was possible because Lisa and Ed’s wedding ceremony took place later in the day.
We captured most of their family and bridal party photos here. Afterward, everyone headed back for the cocktail reception, while the content creator, Lisa, Ed, and I stayed behind to take photos of just the two of them.
Both of them were eager to return to their guests. To keep them engaged, I asked for just five minutes of their full attention before heading indoors.
In those five minutes, I worked throughout the garden and along the bridge from multiple perspectives, creating some truly unique images—photos that, if you asked me to recreate them, I honestly wouldn’t be able to.
As we made our way back, Lisa and Ed asked me to photograph their reactions as the staff and Michelle revealed the Price Room to them for the first time, showcasing all the decor Lisa had carefully planned.
With five minutes to reposition my lighting, I prepared everything, and together with Michelle, we welcomed the couple into the Price Room.
Inside, a live art painter was working on a portrait of the couple, having started just before the ceremony.
Everything flowed smoothly, and as the light grew dimmer, the atmosphere shifted to a more classic, luxurious tone, perfectly setting the stage for their dinner celebration.

Elegant Evening Reception and Grand Entrance
For the grand entrance in their Paradise Banquet Hall wedding photos, Ed planned a surprise for Lisa.
The DJ and MC coordinated perfectly to execute his entrance flawlessly, complete with a wrestling title belt. When Lisa joined him, she fully embraced the idea, taking the entire staged grand entrance to another level. It was, without a doubt, an amazingly executed moment.
After their first dance, the couple took their seats at the sweetheart table, and the dinner celebration began.
A cozy atmosphere, great food, an excellent drink selection, and emotional speeches defined their wedding reception.
While waiting for the dance floor to open, Lisa and Ed made sure to visit each table and spend time with their guests.
Their choice of DJ and MC was outstanding. With the right music and strong MC presence, guests were on their feet, and I didn’t see anyone sitting once the dancing began.
Lisa had booked me for the first hour after the dance floor opened, so before it was time for me to leave, I made sure to create my signature nighttime photos to fully complete their Paradise Banquet Hall wedding photos and wrap up my coverage for this wonderful couple.
I was truly happy that we achieved full wedding coverage and completed everything Lisa and I had planned before the wedding day.
Thank you, Lisa and Ed, for being yourselves and for giving me the opportunity to capture your incredible bond and blended family.
