This image is one of my all-time favourites and was the front cover of my wedding magazine for 2014.
The simplicity and innocence of both the composition and the young ring bearer, instantly brings a smile to people’s faces when they see the oversized canvas of this at my wedding show set up.
The Liberty Grand is a well renowned event venue in Toronto with an impressive array of backdrops and detailed architecture. Nestled within close proximity to the shores of Lake Ontario, it allows for an easy progression of photographic setups. I love it when I’m asked to be a Liberty Grand wedding photographer. I’m very familiar with the options available to me and we can have the ceremony, photoshoot and reception all onsite.
This particular photograph was taken in the courtyard where the wedding couple had opted to have their wedding ceremony. When we had done the run through and explained the order of events to the little boy, he had walked confidently to the front and knew his role. When it was time to recreate that moment, there was suddenly an overwhelming number of guests compared to the rehearsal. The image captures him taking it all in as he embarked on his long walk down the aisle!
Jayden’s blonde curls, blue eyes and sharp looking suit won over the guests. His father, who was in the wedding party, met him at the altar where he led him to his position.
In the background, the bride and her father are featured arm in arm, smiling as they watched in anticipation of their grand entry. Krystle’s stunning dress with its cascading train and billowing veil added texture and an interesting silhouette to the overall image.
